still here...

presently, i can be found on diani beach, south of mombasa.

the water is pristine, the sky is blue, and beach boys are everywhere.

this is an incredible place to visit.

here are a few "firsts" for me:

• snorkeling along the coral reefs
• sharing public health messages with fishermen
• telling people "no english"
• swimming in the indian ocean
• having my fruit stolen by monkeys at breakfast
• cruising around diani beach in matatus
• haggling over music, kikois and rides on dhows
• discovering my camera is not working at the moment i want to take a picture because my battery ran out or the camera is broken
